Material relating to Samuel Smith Boursiquot and Anna Maria Darley Boursiquot, including:

• item 1 -- notes by Christopher Calthrop from the Dublin Directory about Samuel Boursiquot's address between 1838 and 1841; includes a query about Dion Boucicault's birthplace;

• item 2 -- transcript of Samuel Boursiquot's will, dated 23rd of August, 1847";

• item 3 -- certified copy of the burial record of Samuel S. Bursiquot [sic]; he was buried on the 11th of April, 1853, provided by the Public Record Office of Ireland. Accompanied by 3 letters from the Public Record Office of Ireland responding to enquiries by Christopher Calthrop about birth, marriage, burial, and census records in relation to Samuel Smith Boursiquot and Anna Maria Darley;

• item 4 -- notes on an application form for the Principal Probate Registry to search for the wills of Anna Maria Bourcicault [sic] and William Smith Boursiquot between 1879 and 1885; Calthrop mentions that the search was done by P.R.O. staff (presumably in London) who had no success and referred him to Dublin;

• item 5 -- certified extract from the Marriage Register of St. Thomas's Church in the Parish of St. Thomas, Dublin, documenting the marriage of Samuel Smith Boursiquot and Anna Maria Darley on 29th July, 1813;

• item 6 -- cutting from an unknown newspaper of an advert offering a reward for an authenticated copy of the birth certificate of "Samuel Boursiquot (or Boursiqualt), born between 1770 and 1780".

2 letters from Florence Boucicault to Dion Boucicault, Jr. (Dot), giving him information about the family of Samuel Smith Boursiquot, their emigration from France and settling in Ireland; she mentions that Arthur Smith Boursiquot had an interest in Guinness's Bank and that William Smith Boursiquot was a clerk there. Accompanied by an explanatory note by Christopher Calthrop, who dates the letters ca. 1899 or 1900, due to the mention of the play WHEELS WITHIN WHEELS; but as Dot's new wife (Irene Vanbrugh) is mentioned, 1901, when WHEELS WITHIN WHEELS was also produced, is the more likely year.
